It was rare that they had time alone, but this weekend Adam had come home from college and Ronan deserved time alone with his boyfriend. He was too kind to kick them out since he knew what it felt to be evicted from his home, but there had been subtle hints that Gansey and Noah should either hide in the outbuildings he'd given them for the next few days or that they should go somewhere else for the weekend.
Gansey had decided that a few days at the farmhouse was the ideal solution. The house wasn't completely remodeled, but it was structurally sound. Some of the rooms still needed to new coats of paint and furnishings, but the most important areas had been modernized. Modernized beyond Monmouth standards at least.
Which meant that there was an actual bedroom for the two of them, with a bed that was big enough for two or more teenage boys. The morning sun slowly crept through the windows, pulling Gansey toward wakefulness. Letting out a sigh, he snuggled closer to his boyfriend, arm draped over Noah's waist, nose pressed against soft hair. Nuzzling Noah's neck, he pressed a kiss to his pulse, still amazed that Noah was warm and alive. That both of them were alive.
That was something that he doubted he'd ever completely be over.
He really shouldn't do anything that would cause Noah to wake up but the temptation to keep kissing his neck is too powerful to ignore.
