▶ WHO: Gansey (
affection_for_research and Declan Lynch (
leaveatrace)
▶ WHAT: Awkward getting to know each other without the Gangsey around
▶ WHEN: Sometime in October
▶ WHERE: The Dragon's Den
▶ WARNINGS: Will update as needed
After their initial meeting, Gansey wasn't sure what to think about his interactions with Declan. Not just the ones here in Lunatia, but the ones in Henrietta. Their conversations had left Gansey more confused than enlightened, but at least they weren't fighting constantly. That might be because Ronan wasn't there to be a subject of their arguments or it might be because Gansey was still processing everything that Declan had told him.
Still trying to understand the differences that were wrought over a few months in Henrietta that Gansey had yet to experience, he contacted Declan, suggesting that they meet. Somewhere quiet. Somewhere unlike anywhere in Henrietta. A place where they could tentatively find out if they could interact without fighting.
It had seemed like a good idea originally, but now that he was standing outside of the Dragon's Den, Gansey wondered if this had been a bad decision and the night would end the way it would in Henrietta. With shouting and icy words that broke Gansey's heart and reminded him of everything that they'd all lost when Niall was killed. He might not be a Lynch, but he'd lost his family and home after that tragedy. Usually he could ignore that, but now that he was in a strange city, after finding out what it felt like to have a home, he couldn't ignore the aching possibility that he'd made a terrible mistake.
