[ She pauses and thinks over her next message, trying to decide if it's information that she wants. Adam is clearly from a different time than Gansey, but how far off was he from her own time? Did she and Adam come from the same point, the same way that Ronan and Gansey did? Or was he from somewhere even further in the future?
(And all this timeline stuff was really starting to make her head hurt.) ]
When is he from? [ It doesn't become any less weird of a phrase the more she says it. ]
I hope so. He hasn't been quite himself, things were kind of weird back home. They don't ever seem to stop being weird, do they?

Adam says that he's from a point in time that seems to be over year after Ronan gave me the Pig.
Ronan and I arrived just after he showed it to me. We're both from that point.
[If he could reach his journal, he'd take notes, but someone is very comfortable on his lap. Sighing, he closes his eyes, trying to ignore how tired he is and how relaxing it is to have Drill Bit beside him. She really needs to learn to be on her own, not following him everywhere. Which he really isn't encouraging by petting her and ending up spending the night in a stall with her.]
No, they don't.
Noah will be more himself when Adam stabilizes the ley line. If he's not, we'll find another place for him so he can get more energy.

Call it thinking a bit selfishly. ]
Did he tell you what happens to all of us?
[ All her life she's wished to have the same sight that her mother and aunts had, but now that the opportunity to know the future sat right in front of her, she wasn't sure that she really wanted to know. ]
It was scary. It didn't look like he'd ever be himself again. Something is wrong back home, I just want us to go back and fix it.
[ Thankfully, this isn't a voice or video call, because a few tears escape Blue's eyes, getting about halfway down her cheeks before she wipes them away and tries to steel herself from crying any longer. ]

[Things that he didn't want to think about late at night, even if this is, technically, early for him.]
Nothing that we should be too concerned about. Everything turns out all right in the end.
[At least he's been telling himself that until it almost seems true.
He pauses from scritches to consider what would happen to Noah and their future here. He probably takes too long to message, but he wants to have the right words, with the right actions behind them,.]
He will be himself. Because we know it will happen. We'll research everything we can that might possibly help him. When you return, you'll have everything you need to save Noah from whatever was attacking him.

I guess that's the most important part then, isn't it?
[ It's comforting to know, and Blue wonders if this is how people feel when they leave Fox Way with a positive sort of reading. ]
You're right. We'll get Noah back to how he was and figure out what is going wrong with Cabeswater too.
[ She wonders if the more she tells herself this that she'll actually grow to believe it. ]
What do you think happens when we go back? Do we forget all of this?

He looks down at Drill Bit, who seems to have mastered sleep better than he has, trying to decide what to say about Cabeswater.]
It is what's important.
I don't think we should concern ourselves with Cabeswater. Noah should be our priority.
I assume if we go back, we'll remember parts of what happened. Something like deja vu, but not all the details.
[It's a theory that he's been using to help him accept the future and what's going on in the present. Whether it's valid or not hasn't been as important as making sure that he keeps up the Richard Gansey III image for everyone.]
